Basuki will Not Intervene Udar Pristono’s Case

Regarding that, Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki T Purnama admitted ready to be questioned by the General Attorney’s Office. However, he will not intervene this case and fully hand it over to the authorities.

We just wait,” stated Basuki at City Hall, Monday (5/12).Basuki assessed that Jakarta Inspectorate as well as Finance and Development Supervision Body (BPKP) are parties which more understand about goods procurement for TransJakarta bus. Moreover, both institutions have audited the procurement.
Learning from this case, Basuki is now very careful to pass TransJakarta bus procurement. In fact, through e-catalog, Jakarta Provincial Government has locked the bus purchase which specifications similar to made in China buses.
“This year, they are preparing the money to buy in e-catalog which (goods) similar. I just locked it,” he told.
This year, Basuki disclosed that there is no TransJakarta bus purchase. Thus, the budget which has been budgeted to purchase TransJakarta bus for as much as Rp 3.2 trillion has been locked and cannot be used. It is conducted to avoid purchasing low quality buses.
“I’d better not tell you. Let us wait for Mercedes (Benz) to join next year,” he said.
